Performing Experience
I love playing the trumpet. I play trumpet for weddings, funerals, orchestra concerts, classical solo recitals, jazz gigs, rock shows, cover bands, wedding receptions - you name it.
Experience
I'm currently a freelance trumpet player in Athens, Georgia, directing the brass ensemble at First Methodist Church in downtown Athens and playing regularly with the Artie Ball Swing Band, and Abbey Road Live! (a Beatles cover band), when they need horn players for tunes like "Penny Lane". I've performed as soloist with the University of Georgia Wind Ensemble and the Georgia Brass, extra trumpet with the Greenville (SC) Symphony, lead trumpet with the US touring production of 'Chicago', and solo trumpet at dozens of weddings and wedding receptions.
Education
I've studied trumpet primarily with Allan Cox, Tom Hooten, Todd Jenkins, Gary Malvern, Fred Mills, and Edward Sandor. It seems like every one of them has taught me exactly what I needed at that point in my development. I owe these guys my career, and I hope that my students will one day say the same about me.
